主讲人简介:

Prof. R. Martin Skitmore,Professor of Construction Economics and Management, Queensland University of Technology. Martin Skitmore is currently a Professor in the School of Civil Engineering & Built Environment, Queensland University of Technology, Australia, having held a personal chair at the UK University of Salford's 6 Star rated Department of Surveying (now School of the Built Environment), being only the 4th person to hold such a position at the University.  He is a current editor of theInternational Journal of Construction Managementand former editor-in-chief of theJournal of Construction Innovationand a member of several international journal editorial boards. He has also authored/coathored over 270 refereed journal papers on construction economics, project management and related topics in addition to many refereed conference papers, being the most popular QUT ePrints co/author with over 500,000 downloads. His main research interest is in the analysis and modelling of construction contract bids and he has authored a book "Contract Bidding in Construction" (Longman 1989) as well as coathoring two other books on cost modelling and writing research reports. Prof. Skitmore has also been recipient/corecipient of 44 research grants from a variety of sources, including the Australian Research Council, UK Science & Engineering Research Council, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Hong Kong Research Council as well as from firms in the construction industry in both Australia and UK. He has also supervised 28 research students (including 20 PhD) to completion and is currently principal supervisor to 7 research students (including 5 PhD) on a range of construction related topics.
